Morocco stocks higher at close of trade; Moroccan All Shares up 0.98%
Investing.com – Morocco stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Invest Companies & Other Finance , Hotels, Restaurants & Leisure and Banking sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares gained 0.98% to hit a new all time high.
The best performers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Fenie Brossette (CSE: FBR ), which rose 9.68% or 12.00 points to trade at 136.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Ste Nationale de Siderurgie SA (CSE: SID ) added 7.24% or 104.00 points to end at 1,540.00 and Jet Contractors (CSE: JET ) was up 6.51% or 164.00 points to 2,682.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Ennakl Automobiles (CSE: NKL ), which fell 2.94% or 1.00 points to trade at 33.00 at the close. Marocaine Ste de Therapeutique SA (CSE: SOT ) declined 2.92% or 32.00 points to end at 1,063.00 and Stokvis Nord Afrique (CSE: SNA ) was down 2.72% or 0.50 points to 17.90.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Casablanca Stock Exchange by 29 to 26 and 5 ended unchanged.
Shares in Ste Nationale de Siderurgie SA (CSE: SID ) rose to 5-year highs; rising 7.24% or 104.00 to 1,540.00. Shares in Jet Contractors (CSE: JET ) rose to all time highs; rising 6.51% or 164.00 to 2,682.00.
Crude oil for April delivery was up 1.27% or 0.91 to $72.74 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in April rose 1.08% or 0.82 to hit $76.66 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.16% or 4.59 to trade at $2,953.59 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was down 0.29% to 10.41, while USD/MAD unchanged 0.05% to 9.98.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.01% at 106.96.
