Investing.com – Colombia stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Industrials , Services and Agriculture sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP rose 2.32% to hit a new 5-year high.

The best performers of the session on the COLCAP were Grupo de Inversiones Suramericana SA (BVC: SIS ), which rose 9.70% or 3,860.00 points to trade at 43,640.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Grupo de Inversiones Suramericana SA Preferred (BVC: SIS_p ) added 5.50% or 1,720.00 points to end at 33,020.00 and Grupo Aval Acciones y Valores SA Pref (BVC: GAA_p ) was up 4.17% or 25.00 points to 624.00 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Canacol Energy Ltd (BVC: CNE ), which fell 1.98% or 220.00 points to trade at 10,900.00 at the close. Bolsa De Valores De Colombia (BVC: BVC ) declined 1.58% or 180.00 points to end at 11,200.00 and Promigas (BVC: PMG ) was down 1.30% or 90.00 points to 6,860.00.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Colombia Stock Exchange by 0 to 0.

Shares in Grupo de Inversiones Suramericana SA Preferred (BVC: SIS_p ) rose to 5-year highs; gaining 5.50% or 1,720.00 to 33,020.00. Shares in Grupo Aval Acciones y Valores SA Pref (BVC: GAA_p ) rose to 52-week highs; up 4.17% or 25.00 to 624.00.

US coffee C for May delivery was down 6.03% or 24.85 to $387.05 . Elsewhere in commodities trading, US cocoa for delivery in May fell 1.40% or 146.00 to hit $10,254.00 , while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.64% or 18.82 to trade at $2,954.92 a troy ounce.

USD/COP was down 0.62% to 4,073.50, while BRL/COP fell 0.28% to 714.46.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.76% at 106.25.
