Netherlands stocks lower at close of trade; AEX down 0.11%
Investing.com – Netherlands stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Oil & Gas , Consumer Goods and Industrials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Amsterdam, the AEX fell 0.11%.
The best performers of the session on the AEX were BE Semiconductor Industries NV (AS: BESI ), which rose 2.31% or 2.70 points to trade at 119.70 at the close. Meanwhile, Prosus (AS: PRX ) added 1.96% or 0.89 points to end at 45.98 and IMCD NV (AS: IMCD ) was up 1.46% or 2.15 points to 149.05 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were NN Group NV (AS: NN ), which fell 1.82% or 0.86 points to trade at 46.41 at the close. Relx PLC (AS: REL ) declined 1.71% or 0.82 points to end at 47.26 and Wolters Kluwer (AS: WLSNc ) was down 1.65% or 2.90 points to 172.60.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange by 53 to 48 and 4 ended unchanged.
Shares in Prosus (AS: PRX ) rose to 3-years highs; up 1.96% or 0.89 to 45.98.
The AEX Volatility , which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was unchanged 0.00% to 21.09.
Crude oil for April delivery was down 2.12% or 1.54 to $70.94 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in April fell 1.99% or 1.52 to hit $74.96 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.16% or 4.81 to trade at $2,951.29 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.43% to 1.05, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.23% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.29% at 106.58.
