Italy stocks higher at close of trade; Investing.com Italy 40 up 1.29%
Investing.com – Italy stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Financials , Industrials and Oil & Gas sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 gained 1.29% to hit a new 5-year high.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Davide Campari Milano SpA (BIT: CPRI ), which rose 3.37% or 0.19 points to trade at 5.83 at the close. Meanwhile, Intesa Sanpaolo SpA (BIT: ISP ) added 3.34% or 0.15 points to end at 4.77 and UniCredit SpA (BIT: CRDI ) was up 3.09% or 1.52 points to 50.85 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Stellantis NV (BIT: STLAM ), which fell 4.05% or 0.55 points to trade at 12.94 at the close. Saipem SpA (BIT: SPMI ) declined 2.91% or 0.07 points to end at 2.20 and STMicroelectronics (BIT: STMMI ) was down 2.52% or 0.65 points to 25.17.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 359 to 203 and 39 ended unchanged.
Shares in Intesa Sanpaolo SpA (BIT: ISP ) rose to 5-year highs; gaining 3.34% or 0.15 to 4.77. Shares in UniCredit SpA (BIT: CRDI ) rose to 5-year highs; up 3.09% or 1.52 to 50.85.
Crude oil for April delivery was unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to $68.93 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in May fell 0.21% or 0.15 to hit $72.35 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.35% or 10.10 to trade at $2,928.90 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.02% to 1.05, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.23% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.03% at 106.19.
