Sweden stocks lower at close of trade; OMX Stockholm 30 down 4.72%
Investing.com – Sweden stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Financials , Healthcare and Telecoms sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 declined 4.72% to hit a new 52-week low.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Evolution AB (ST: EVOG ), which fell 0.71% or 5.20 points to trade at 725.80 at the close. Meanwhile, Samhallsbyggnadsbolaget i Norden AB (ST: SBBb ) fell 1.74% or 0.06 points to end at 3.31 and Svenska Handelsbanken AB A (ST: SHBa ) was down 1.88% or 1.95 points to 101.50 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were AstraZeneca PLC (ST: AZN ), which fell 8.09% or 113.50 points to trade at 1,289.50 at the close. Electrolux AB Class B (ST: ELUXb ) declined 6.99% or 5.20 points to end at 68.90 and Hexagon AB ser. B (ST: HEXAb ) was down 6.91% or 6.70 points to 90.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 718 to 104 and 47 ended unchanged.
Shares in Evolution AB (ST: EVOG ) fell to 3-years lows; falling 0.71% or 5.20 to 725.80. Shares in AstraZeneca PLC (ST: AZN ) fell to 52-week lows; losing 8.09% or 113.50 to 1,289.50. Shares in Electrolux AB Class B (ST: ELUXb ) fell to 5-year lows; losing 6.99% or 5.20 to 68.90. Shares in Hexagon AB ser. B (ST: HEXAb ) fell to 52-week lows; falling 6.91% or 6.70 to 90.00.
Crude oil for May delivery was down 1.79% or 1.11 to $60.88 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in June fell 1.75% or 1.15 to hit $64.43 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 1.31% or 39.64 to trade at $2,995.76 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.54% to 10.99, while USD/SEK rose 0.99% to 10.08.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.49% at 103.28.
