Italy stocks lower at close of trade; Investing.com Italy 40 down 0.73%

Investing.com – Italy stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Travel & Leisure , Financials and Oil & Gas sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 fell 0.73%.

The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were STMicroelectronics (BIT: STMMI ), which rose 3.90% or 0.66 points to trade at 17.57 at the close. Meanwhile, DiaSorin SpA (BIT: DIAS ) added 3.23% or 2.96 points to end at 94.50 and Hera (BIT: HRA ) was up 1.99% or 0.07 points to 3.80 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Stellantis NV (BIT: STLAM ), which fell 3.81% or 0.30 points to trade at 7.67 at the close. Assicurazioni Generali SpA (BIT: GASI ) declined 3.50% or 1.05 points to end at 28.92 and Azimut Holding SpA (BIT: AZMT ) was down 1.90% or 0.41 points to 21.22.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 328 to 215 and 29 ended unchanged.

Shares in Stellantis NV (BIT: STLAM ) fell to 3-years lows; falling 3.81% or 0.30 to 7.67.

Crude oil for May delivery was up 0.97% or 0.58 to $60.65 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in June rose 0.88% or 0.56 to hit $63.89 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 2.64% or 84.04 to trade at $3,261.54 a troy ounce.

EUR/USD was up 1.15% to 1.13, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.48% to 0.87.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.73% at 99.88.
