Morocco stocks higher at close of trade; Moroccan All Shares up 0.15%

Investing.com – Morocco stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Banking , Beverage and Transport sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares added 0.15%.

The best performers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were S2M (CSE: S2M ), which rose 9.55% or 47.05 points to trade at 539.80 at the close. Meanwhile, Marocaine Ste de Therapeutique SA (CSE: SOT ) added 7.01% or 85.00 points to end at 1,298.00 and Societe des Boissons du Maroc SA (CSE: SBM ) was up 4.69% or 94.00 points to 2,099.00 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were CDM (CSE: CDM ), which fell 3.59% or 40.00 points to trade at 1,075.00 at the close. Miniere Touissit (CSE: CMT ) declined 2.15% or 40.00 points to end at 1,820.00 and Aluminum du Maroc SA (CSE: ALM ) was down 2.07% or 37.00 points to 1,750.00.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Casablanca Stock Exchange by 23 to 22 and 15 ended unchanged.

Shares in S2M (CSE: S2M ) rose to all time highs; up 9.55% or 47.05 to 539.80. Shares in Marocaine Ste de Therapeutique SA (CSE: SOT ) rose to 52-week highs; up 7.01% or 85.00 to 1,298.00.

Crude oil for June delivery was down 2.58% or 1.65 to $62.36 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in June fell 2.53% or 1.72 to hit $66.24 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 2.82% or 93.86 to trade at $3,422.26 a troy ounce.

EUR/MAD was down 0.10% to 10.54, while USD/MAD rose 0.17% to 9.27.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.88% at 98.26.
