Israel stocks lower at close of trade; TA 35 down 1.23%
Investing.com – Israel stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Insurance , Financials and Banking sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 declined 1.23%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were ICL Israel Chemicals Ltd (TASE: ICL ), which rose 2.07% or 48.00 points to trade at 2,368.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Energix (TASE: ENRG ) added 1.73% or 18.00 points to end at 1,056.00 and Ormat Technologies (TASE: ORA ) was up 0.95% or 250.00 points to 26,670.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Shikun & Binui (TASE: SKBN ), which fell 4.75% or 56.00 points to trade at 1,123.00 at the close. Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TASE: TEVA ) declined 3.80% or 193.00 points to end at 4,892.00 and Camtek Ltd (TASE: CAMT ) was down 3.51% or 790.00 points to 21,710.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 305 to 133 and 100 ended unchanged.
Shares in ICL Israel Chemicals Ltd (TASE: ICL ) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 2.07% or 48.00 to 2,368.00.
Crude oil for June delivery was down 2.62% or 1.68 to $62.33 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in June fell 2.62% or 1.78 to hit $66.18 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 3.04% or 101.31 to trade at $3,429.71 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 1.13% to 3.72, while EUR/ILS rose 2.00% to 4.28.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.96% at 98.18.
