Spain stocks higher at close of trade; IBEX 35 up 0.61%
Investing.com – Spain stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Consumer Goods , Telecoms & IT and Chemical, Petroleum & Plastic sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 added 0.61%.
The best performers of the session on the IBEX 35 were Grifols SA (BME: GRLS ), which rose 3.52% or 0.28 points to trade at 8.35 at the close. Meanwhile, Puig Brands SA (BME: PUIGb ) added 3.50% or 0.52 points to end at 15.39 and SOLARIA ENERGIA Y MEDIO AMBIENTE (BME: SLRS ) was up 3.12% or 0.20 points to 6.74 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Enagas (BME: ENAG ), which fell 0.48% or 0.07 points to trade at 13.36 at the close. Bankinter (BME: BKT ) declined 0.27% or 0.03 points to end at 9.72 and Logista (BME: LOG ) was down 0.13% or 0.04 points to 29.78.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Madrid Stock Exchange by 133 to 65 and 18 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for June delivery was down 0.05% or 1.61 to $3,423.69 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in June rose 3.11% or 1.94 to hit $64.35 a barrel, while the June Brent oil contract rose 2.66% or 1.76 to trade at $68.02 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.47% to 1.15, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.51% to 0.86.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.35% at 98.39.
