Finland stocks higher at close of trade; OMX Helsinki 25 up 0.97%

Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Oil & Gas , Telecoms and Consumer Services sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 rose 0.97%.

The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Neste Oyj (HE: NESTE ), which rose 3.90% or 0.29 points to trade at 7.82 at the close. Meanwhile, Kesko Oyj (HE: KESKOB ) added 2.89% or 0.57 points to end at 20.26 and Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HE: TYRES ) was up 2.16% or 0.14 points to 6.64 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Orion Oyj B (HE: ORNBV ), which fell 3.10% or 1.52 points to trade at 47.56 at the close. Konecranes ABP (HE: KCRA ) declined 1.60% or 0.85 points to end at 52.20 and Valmet Oyj (HE: VALMT ) was down 0.90% or 0.21 points to 23.10.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 88 to 79 and 21 ended unchanged.

Shares in Kesko Oyj (HE: KESKOB ) rose to 52-week highs; rising 2.89% or 0.57 to 20.26.

Brent oil for June delivery was up 2.48% or 1.64 to $67.90 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in June rose 2.85% or 1.78 to hit $64.19 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.07% or 2.54 to trade at $3,427.84 a troy ounce.

EUR/USD was unchanged 0.43% to 1.15, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.48% to 0.86.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.31% at 98.35.
