Turkey stocks lower at close of trade; BIST 100 down 0.10%

Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Insurance , Information Technology and Electricity sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 fell 0.10%.

The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Tekfen Holding AS (IS: TKFEN ), which rose 5.18% or 7.20 points to trade at 146.10 at the close. Meanwhile, Pasifik Eurasia Lojistik Dis Ticaret AS (IS: PASEU ) added 4.24% or 2.50 points to end at 61.50 and Turk Telekomunikasyon AS (IS: TTKOM ) was up 4.15% or 2.20 points to 55.20 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Isiklar Enerji ve Yapi Holding AS (IS: IEYHO ), which fell 7.54% or 0.97 points to trade at 11.90 at the close. Grainturk Holding AS (IS: GRTHO ) declined 5.46% or 19.00 points to end at 329.00 and Anadolu Hayat Emeklilik AS (IS: ANHYT ) was down 5.06% or 4.65 points to 87.30.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 421 to 164 and 9 ended unchanged.

Shares in Pasifik Eurasia Lojistik Dis Ticaret AS (IS: PASEU ) rose to all time highs; up 4.24% or 2.50 to 61.50.

Gold Futures for June delivery was up 0.18% or 6.05 to $3,431.35 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in June rose 2.24% or 1.40 to hit $63.81 a barrel, while the June Brent oil contract rose 1.89% or 1.25 to trade at $67.51 a barrel.

USD/TRY was up 0.24% to 38.26, while EUR/TRY fell 0.05% to 43.92.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.21% at 98.25.
