Spain stocks higher at close of trade; IBEX 35 up 1.32%
Investing.com – Spain stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Financial Services & Real Estate , Building & Construction and Consumer Goods sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 rose 1.32%.
The best performers of the session on the IBEX 35 were Mapfre (BME: MAP ), which rose 8.05% or 0.24 points to trade at 3.17 at the close. Meanwhile, Ferrovial (BME: FER ) added 3.28% or 1.35 points to end at 42.45 and Banco Santander (BME: SAN ) was up 2.59% or 0.16 points to 6.42 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Indra A (BME: IDR ), which fell 2.32% or 0.64 points to trade at 26.94 at the close. Cellnex Telecom SA (BME: CLNX ) declined 1.31% or 0.46 points to end at 34.65 and Fluidra (BME: FLUI ) was down 0.20% or 0.04 points to 20.18.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Madrid Stock Exchange by 149 to 48 and 18 ended unchanged.
Shares in Mapfre (BME: MAP ) rose to 5-year highs; up 8.05% or 0.24 to 3.17.
Gold Futures for June delivery was down 1.67% or 55.79 to $3,292.81 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in June rose 0.18% or 0.11 to hit $62.90 a barrel, while the June Brent oil contract rose 0.21% or 0.14 to trade at $66.69 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.03% to 1.14, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.07% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.08% at 99.25.
