Portugal stocks higher at close of trade; PSI up 0.93%

Investing.com – Portugal stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Industrials , Financials and Consumer Goods sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Lisbon, the PSI rose 0.93%.

The best performers of the session on the PSI were Mota Engil SGPS SA (ELI: MOTA ), which rose 5.37% or 0.18 points to trade at 3.53 at the close. Meanwhile, CTT Correios de Portugal SA (ELI: CTT ) added 3.12% or 0.23 points to end at 7.60 and EDP Renovaveis (ELI: EDPR ) was up 2.27% or 0.18 points to 8.13 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Nos SGPS SA (ELI: NOS ), which fell 0.81% or 0.03 points to trade at 3.70 at the close. Jeronimo Martins SGPS SA (ELI: JMT ) declined 0.47% or 0.10 points to end at 21.30 and Altri SGPS SA (ELI: ALSS ) was down 0.44% or 0.03 points to 6.17.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 17 to 7 and 3 ended unchanged.

Brent oil for June delivery was up 0.23% or 0.15 to $66.70 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in June rose 0.19% or 0.12 to hit $62.91 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 1.67% or 55.84 to trade at $3,292.76 a troy ounce.

EUR/USD was unchanged 0.03% to 1.14, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.07% to 0.85.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.08% at 99.25.
