Greece stocks lower at close of trade; Athens General Composite down 0.00%

Investing.com – Greece stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Telecoms , Household and Basic Resources sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite declined 0.00%.

The best performers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Optima bank SA (AT: OPTIMAr ), which rose 4.93% or 0.74 points to trade at 15.76 at the close. Meanwhile, Avax SA (AT: AVAr ) added 3.50% or 0.07 points to end at 2.07 and Lavipharm SA (AT: LPHr ) was up 3.05% or 0.02 points to 0.81 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Piraeus Bank SA (AT: BOPr ), which fell 2.35% or 0.12 points to trade at 4.98 at the close. Profile Syst (AT: PRFr ) declined 2.30% or 0.13 points to end at 5.52 and National Bank of Greece SA (AT: NBGr ) was down 1.68% or 0.16 points to 9.50.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 87 to 39 and 17 ended unchanged.

Gold Futures for June delivery was down 1.85% or 61.91 to $3,286.69 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in June fell 0.65% or 0.41 to hit $62.38 a barrel, while the June Brent oil contract fell 0.66% or 0.44 to trade at $66.11 a barrel.

EUR/USD was unchanged 0.17% to 1.14, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.09% to 0.85.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.22% at 99.39.
