Italy stocks higher at close of trade; Investing.com Italy 40 up 0.26%

Investing.com – Italy stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Travel & Leisure , Financials and Telecoms sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 added 0.26%.

The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Interpump Group (BIT: ITPG ), which rose 2.85% or 0.84 points to trade at 30.30 at the close. Meanwhile, Banca Monte dei Paschi di Siena SpA (BIT: BMPS ) added 2.08% or 0.15 points to end at 7.35 and Saipem SpA (BIT: SPMI ) was up 1.74% or 0.04 points to 2.05 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Leonardo SpA (BIT: LDOF ), which fell 1.73% or 0.77 points to trade at 43.85 at the close. STMicroelectronics (BIT: STMMI ) declined 1.37% or 0.28 points to end at 20.14 and Assicurazioni Generali SpA (BIT: GASI ) was down 1.13% or 0.36 points to 31.60.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 337 to 199 and 46 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for June delivery was down 1.84% or 1.16 to $61.86 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 1.91% or 1.26 to hit $64.54 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 1.39% or 45.76 to trade at $3,344.16 a troy ounce.

EUR/USD was unchanged 0.26% to 1.14, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.34% to 0.85.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.26% at 99.00.
