Belgium stocks higher at close of trade; BEL 20 up 0.62%

Investing.com – Belgium stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Consumer Goods , Technology and Telecoms sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Brussels, the BEL 20 rose 0.62%.

The best performers of the session on the BEL 20 were D’Ieteren NV (EBR: IETB ), which rose 3.02% or 5.10 points to trade at 174.20 at the close. Meanwhile, Melexis NV (EBR: MLXS ) added 2.12% or 1.15 points to end at 55.50 and Syensqo SA (EBR: SYENS ) was up 1.56% or 0.94 points to 61.22 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Azelis Corporate Services NV (EBR: AZE ), which fell 1.18% or 0.16 points to trade at 13.45 at the close. UCB SA (EBR: UCB ) declined 0.13% or 0.20 points to end at 149.50 and Lotus Bakeries (EBR: LOTB ) was down 0.12% or 10.00 points to 8,180.00.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Brussels Stock Exchange by 69 to 25 and 12 ended unchanged.

Gold Futures for June delivery was up 1.18% or 38.76 to $3,337.16 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in June fell 1.87% or 1.18 to hit $61.84 a barrel, while the July Brent oil contract fell 1.98% or 1.30 to trade at $64.50 a barrel.

EUR/USD was unchanged 0.26% to 1.14, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.35% to 0.85.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.25% at 99.01.
