Meanwhile, Grupo Argos SA (BVC: ARG ) added 2.23% or 480.00 points to end at 21,980.00 and Bancolombia SA (BVC: BIC ) was up 1.97% or 1,020.00 points to 52,880.00 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Canacol Energy Ltd (BVC: CNE ), which fell 3.13% or 300.00 points to trade at 9,300.00 at the close. Grupo de Inversiones Suramericana SA (BVC: SIS ) declined 0.93% or 400.00 points to end at 42,500.00 and Grupo Energia Bogota SA ESP (BVC: GEB ) was down 0.88% or 25.00 points to 2,805.00.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Colombia Stock Exchange by 0 to 0.

Shares in Grupo Argos SA (BVC: ARG ) rose to 5-year highs; up 2.23% or 480.00 to 21,980.00. Shares in Bancolombia SA (BVC: BIC ) rose to all time highs; gaining 1.97% or 1,020.00 to 52,880.00.

US coffee C for July delivery was up 2.54% or 10.15 to $410.00 . Elsewhere in commodities trading, US cocoa for delivery in July fell 5.03% or 472.00 to hit $8,920.00 , while the June Gold Futures contract rose 1.71% or 56.45 to trade at $3,354.85 a troy ounce.

USD/COP was down 0.04% to 4,214.00, while BRL/COP fell 0.04% to 745.25.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.58% at 98.68.
