Veteran investor Mobius’ funds hold 95% in cash amid trade uncertainty - Bloomberg

Investing.com-- Veteran emerging-markets investor Mark Mobius said he was holding 95% of his funds’ holdings in cash, citing persistent trade-related uncertainty that could last up to six months, according to a Bloomberg interview.

“At this stage, cash is king,” Mobius said in an interview with Bloomberg Television, adding that he is holding back from deploying capital until market conditions become clearer.

Mobius, a prominent figure in developing markets with over three decades of experience, noted that while some countries like India may perform well despite the turmoil, investors should remain cautious.

The cautious positioning highlights the impact of escalating global trade tensions on investor sentiment, particularly in emerging markets. Mobius emphasized the importance of patience and readiness to reenter markets when volatility subsides.
