Finland stocks higher at close of trade; OMX Helsinki 25 up 1.61%
Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Industrials , Oil & Gas and Consumer Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 added 1.61%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Hiab Oyj (HE: HIAB ), which rose 7.77% or 3.00 points to trade at 41.62 at the close. Meanwhile, KONE Oyj (HE: KNEBV ) added 7.28% or 3.70 points to end at 54.50 and Wartsila Oyj Abp (HE: WRT1V ) was up 3.23% or 0.51 points to 16.32 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Stora Enso Oyj R (HE: STERV ), which fell 1.16% or 0.10 points to trade at 8.17 at the close. Outokumpu Oyj (HE: OUT1V ) declined 0.47% or 0.02 points to end at 3.37 and TietoEVRY Corp (HE: TIETO ) was up 0.25% or 0.04 points to 15.78.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 94 to 74 and 21 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for July delivery was down 3.60% or 2.28 to $61.00 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in June fell 3.67% or 2.22 to hit $58.20 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.43% or 14.25 to trade at $3,319.35 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.31% to 1.14, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.15% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.26% at 99.27.
