Denmark stocks higher at close of trade; OMX Copenhagen 20 up 2.51%

Investing.com – Denmark stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Consumer Goods , Technology and Chemicals sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 gained 2.51%.

The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were DSV Panalpina A/S (CSE: DSV ), which rose 7.88% or 101.50 points to trade at 1,390.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Novo Nordisk A/S Class B (CSE: NOVOb ) added 2.53% or 10.80 points to end at 435.10 and Tryg A/S (CSE: TRYG ) was up 2.21% or 3.40 points to 157.20 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Pandora A/S (CSE: PNDORA ), which fell 0.45% or 4.40 points to trade at 972.20 at the close. Ambu A/S (CSE: AMBUb ) added 0.77% or 0.90 points to end at 117.70 and Danske Bank A/S (CSE: DANSKE ) was up 0.83% or 1.90 points to 229.70.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 97 to 37 and 14 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for June delivery was down 0.78% or 0.47 to $59.95 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 1.00% or 0.63 to hit $62.65 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.51% or 17.05 to trade at $3,316.55 a troy ounce.

USD/DKK was up 0.51% to 6.59, while EUR/DKK unchanged 0.01% to 7.46.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.40% at 99.41.
