Norway stocks higher at close of trade; Oslo OBX up 0.90%

Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Healthcare Equipment & Services , Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences and Utilities sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX rose 0.90%.

The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Kongsberg Gruppen ASA (OL: KOG ), which rose 4.25% or 68.00 points to trade at 1,668.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Tomra Systems ASA (OL: TOM ) added 4.23% or 6.60 points to end at 162.50 and Orkla ASA (OL: ORK ) was up 2.48% or 2.80 points to 115.60 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Nel ASA (OL: NEL ), which fell 4.30% or 0.10 points to trade at 2.22 at the close. Yara International ASA (OL: YAR ) declined 4.23% or 14.80 points to end at 335.20 and Nordic Semiconductor ASA (OL: NOD ) was down 4.12% or 4.40 points to 102.50.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 140 to 130 and 24 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for June delivery was down 1.37% or 0.83 to $59.59 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 1.49% or 0.94 to hit $62.34 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.37% or 12.50 to trade at $3,321.10 a troy ounce.

EUR/NOK was unchanged 0.03% to 11.79, while USD/NOK rose 0.19% to 10.37.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.14% at 99.15.
