Investing.com-- Amazon (NASDAQ: AMZN ) ​unveiled its most advanced AI model to date, Nova Premier, at the AWS reInvent conference, intensifying competition in the fast-growing generative AI sector.

The new model, available through Amazon Web Services (AWS), offers advanced reasoning and multilingual capabilities, targeting enterprise clients seeking customizable AI solutions.

Amazon said Nova Premier outperforms its predecessor, Nova, in accuracy and efficiency, with lower operational costs, the company claimed.

"With its advanced capabilities, Nova Premier excels at complex tasks that require deep understanding of context, multistep planning, and precise execution across multiple tools and data source," it said in a statement.

Nova Premier matches top non-reasoning models and outperforms peers on about half the benchmarks. China’s DeepSeek V3 is currently considered the top non-reasoning AI model.

The launch comes as tech giants race to dominate AI, with Microsoft-backed (NASDAQ: MSFT ) OpenAI releasing GPT-4o and Google (NASDAQ: GOOGL ) rolling out Gemini updates this month.
