Finland stocks higher at close of trade; OMX Helsinki 25 up 1.18%
Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Oil & Gas , Healthcare and Consumer Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 added 1.18% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Metso Oyj (HE: METSO ), which rose 3.45% or 0.33 points to trade at 9.89 at the close. Meanwhile, Kalmar Oyj (HE: KALMAR ) added 3.16% or 0.88 points to end at 28.76 and Wartsila Oyj Abp (HE: WRT1V ) was up 2.28% or 0.37 points to 16.63 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Fortum Oyj (HE: FORTUM ), which fell 1.53% or 0.23 points to trade at 14.52 at the close. Mandatum Oyj (HE: MANTA ) declined 1.16% or 0.07 points to end at 6.14 and Elisa Oyj (HE: ELISA ) was down 0.43% or 0.20 points to 46.82.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 124 to 51 and 13 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for July delivery was down 1.05% or 0.65 to $61.48 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in June fell 1.30% or 0.77 to hit $58.47 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.49% or 15.94 to trade at $3,238.14 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.31% to 1.13, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.26% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.40% at 99.65.
