Turkey stocks higher at close of trade; BIST 100 up 0.98%

Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Wholesale & Retail Trade , Transport and Basic Metals sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 gained 0.98%.

The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Isiklar Enerji ve Yapi Holding AS (IS: IEYHO ), which rose 9.91% or 1.03 points to trade at 11.42 at the close. Meanwhile, Katilimevim Tasarruf Finansman AS (IS: KTLEV ) added 9.74% or 7.45 points to end at 83.90 and Oba Makarnacilik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS: OBAMS ) was up 9.14% or 6.20 points to 74.00 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Borusan Yatirim ve Pazarlama AS (IS: BRYAT ), which fell 4.25% or 90.00 points to trade at 2,030.00 at the close. Limak Dogu Anadolu Cimento Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS: LMKDC ) declined 4.11% or 1.14 points to end at 26.62 and Aselsan Elektronik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS: ASELS ) was down 3.85% or 5.20 points to 129.80.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 403 to 168 and 20 ended unchanged.

Shares in Oba Makarnacilik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS: OBAMS ) rose to all time highs; up 9.14% or 6.20 to 74.00.

Gold Futures for June delivery was up 0.84% or 27.05 to $3,249.25 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in June fell 1.74% or 1.03 to hit $58.21 a barrel, while the July Brent oil contract fell 1.46% or 0.91 to trade at $61.22 a barrel.

USD/TRY was up 0.33% to 38.57, while EUR/TRY rose 0.92% to 43.78.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.54% at 99.51.
