Denmark stocks higher at close of trade; OMX Copenhagen 20 up 2.57%

Investing.com – Denmark stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Technology , Financials and Consumer Goods sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 gained 2.57% to hit a new 1-month high.

The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Danske Bank A/S (CSE: DANSKE ), which rose 6.01% or 13.80 points to trade at 243.40 at the close. Meanwhile, Demant A/S (CSE: DEMANT ) added 4.90% or 11.60 points to end at 248.20 and Zealand Pharma A/S (CSE: ZELA ) was up 4.12% or 19.20 points to 485.70 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Coloplast A/S (CSE: COLOb ), which fell 1.13% or 8.00 points to trade at 697.40 at the close. Oersted AS (CSE: ORSTED ) unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 points to end at 267.60 and Novozymes A/S B (CSE: NSISb ) was up 0.72% or 3.10 points to 433.30.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 101 to 34 and 17 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for June delivery was down 1.74% or 1.03 to $58.21 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 1.48% or 0.92 to hit $61.21 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 1.14% or 36.86 to trade at $3,259.06 a troy ounce.

USD/DKK was down 0.42% to 6.58, while EUR/DKK unchanged 0.00% to 7.46.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.54% at 99.52.
