Norway stocks higher at close of trade; Oslo OBX up 0.62%

Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Healthcare Equipment & Services , Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences and Utilities sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX added 0.62% to hit a new 1-month high.

The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Frontline Ltd (OL: FRO ), which rose 3.46% or 6.35 points to trade at 189.85 at the close. Meanwhile, Hoegh Autoliners ASA (OL: HAUTO ) added 3.02% or 2.53 points to end at 86.40 and Subsea 7 SA (OL: SUBC ) was up 1.64% or 2.70 points to 167.20 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL: NAS ), which fell 2.11% or 0.29 points to trade at 13.48 at the close. Nel ASA (OL: NEL ) declined 2.03% or 0.05 points to end at 2.41 and Equinor ASA (OL: EQNR ) was down 0.70% or 1.70 points to 242.10.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 161 to 111 and 26 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for June delivery was down 0.41% or 0.26 to $63.41 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 0.42% or 0.28 to hit $66.35 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 1.92% or 62.29 to trade at $3,185.51 a troy ounce.

EUR/NOK was up 0.23% to 11.60, while USD/NOK unchanged 0.02% to 10.35.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.24% at 100.58.
