Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Sports , Banking and Metal Products & Machinery sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 declined 1.65%.

The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Enerya Enerji AS (IS: ENERY ), which rose 5.44% or 0.24 points to trade at 4.65 at the close. Meanwhile, Isiklar Enerji ve Yapi Holding AS (IS: IEYHO ) added 4.46% or 0.62 points to end at 14.51 and Katilimevim Tasarruf Finansman AS (IS: KTLEV ) was up 3.31% or 2.95 points to 92.10 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Celebi Hava Servisi AS (IS: CLEBI ), which fell 10.00% or 247.00 points to trade at 2,224.00 at the close. Baticim Bati Anadolu Cimento Sanayi AS (IS: BTCIM ) declined 9.93% or 0.55 points to end at 4.99 and Batisoke Soke Cimento Sanayi TAS (IS: BSOKE ) was down 9.93% or 2.28 points to 20.68.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 357 to 219 and 16 ended unchanged.

Gold Futures for June delivery was up 0.86% or 27.54 to $3,215.84 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in June fell 2.83% or 1.79 to hit $61.36 a barrel, while the July Brent oil contract fell 2.72% or 1.80 to trade at $64.29 a barrel.

USD/TRY was down 0.09% to 38.70, while EUR/TRY rose 0.18% to 43.45.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.09% at 100.79.
