Spain stocks higher at close of trade; IBEX 35 up 0.15%
Investing.com – Spain stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Consumer Services , Building & Construction and Telecoms & IT sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 rose 0.15% to hit a new 5-year high.
The best performers of the session on the IBEX 35 were International Consolidated Airlines Group SA (BME: ICAG ), which rose 2.24% or 0.09 points to trade at 3.93 at the close. Meanwhile, Indra A (BME: IDR ) added 1.86% or 0.58 points to end at 31.78 and Grifols SA (BME: GRLS ) was up 1.78% or 0.16 points to 9.16 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were SOLARIA ENERGIA Y MEDIO AMBIENTE (BME: SLRS ), which fell 2.58% or 0.17 points to trade at 6.50 at the close. Acciona (BME: ANA ) declined 1.85% or 2.50 points to end at 132.40 and Laboratorios Farmaceuticos ROVI (BME: ROVI ) was down 1.61% or 0.85 points to 51.90.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Madrid Stock Exchange by 106 to 87 and 21 ended unchanged.
Shares in Indra A (BME: IDR ) rose to all time highs; up 1.86% or 0.58 to 31.78.
Gold Futures for June delivery was up 1.41% or 44.91 to $3,232.21 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July rose 1.16% or 0.72 to hit $62.69 a barrel, while the July Brent oil contract rose 0.90% or 0.59 to trade at $66.00 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.65% to 1.12, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.05% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.67% at 100.27.
