Italy stocks lower at close of trade; Investing.com Italy 40 down 1.12%
Investing.com – Italy stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Oil & Gas , Telecoms and Financials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 fell 1.12%.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Bper Banca SpA (BIT: EMII ), which rose 4.69% or 0.34 points to trade at 7.59 at the close. Meanwhile, Banca Monte dei Paschi di Siena SpA (BIT: BMPS ) added 3.85% or 0.28 points to end at 7.49 and Banca Popolare di Sondrio ScpA (BIT: BPSI ) was up 3.52% or 0.40 points to 11.62 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Moncler SpA (BIT: MONC ), which fell 2.23% or 1.28 points to trade at 56.14 at the close. Stellantis NV (BIT: STLAM ) declined 1.30% or 0.12 points to end at 9.45 and STMicroelectronics (BIT: STMMI ) was down 1.13% or 0.26 points to 22.81.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 288 to 286 and 35 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for July delivery was up 1.00% or 0.62 to $62.59 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 0.76% or 0.50 to hit $65.91 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 1.40% or 44.49 to trade at $3,231.79 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.63% to 1.12, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.04% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.64% at 100.29.
