Norway stocks higher at close of trade; Oslo OBX up 0.10%
Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Healthcare Equipment & Services , Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences and Utilities sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX rose 0.10%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Nel ASA (OL: NEL ), which rose 2.06% or 0.05 points to trade at 2.47 at the close. Meanwhile, Telenor ASA (OL: TEL ) added 1.60% or 2.50 points to end at 158.30 and Yara International ASA (OL: YAR ) was up 1.33% or 4.80 points to 366.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were SalMar ASA (OL: SALM ), which fell 7.75% or 39.50 points to trade at 470.00 at the close. Kongsberg Gruppen ASA (OL: KOG ) declined 1.55% or 26.50 points to end at 1,685.50 and Frontline Ltd (OL: FRO ) was down 1.25% or 2.35 points to 186.30.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 149 to 119 and 32 ended unchanged.
Shares in Telenor ASA (OL: TEL ) rose to 3-years highs; gaining 1.60% or 2.50 to 158.30. Shares in Yara International ASA (OL: YAR ) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 1.33% or 4.80 to 366.00.
Crude oil for July delivery was down 0.58% or 0.36 to $61.78 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 0.63% or 0.41 to hit $65.13 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 1.59% or 51.36 to trade at $3,284.86 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.49% to 11.59, while USD/NOK rose 0.23% to 10.29.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.28% at 100.01.
