Netherlands stocks higher at close of trade; AEX up 0.24%
Investing.com – Netherlands stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Technology , Telecoms and Financials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Amsterdam, the AEX added 0.24% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the AEX were ABN AMRO Group NV (AS: ABNd ), which rose 3.20% or 0.70 points to trade at 22.60 at the close. Meanwhile, Prosus (AS: PRX ) added 1.39% or 0.64 points to end at 46.29 and ASM International NV (AS: ASMI ) was up 1.30% or 6.20 points to 482.90 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Randstad NV (AS: RAND ), which fell 1.52% or 0.58 points to trade at 37.58 at the close. Koninklijke Philips NV (AS: PHG ) declined 1.13% or 0.24 points to end at 21.09 and IMCD NV (AS: IMCD ) was down 0.89% or 1.10 points to 123.00.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange by 54 to 48 and 11 ended unchanged.
Shares in ABN AMRO Group NV (AS: ABNd ) rose to 5-year highs; up 3.20% or 0.70 to 22.60.
The AEX Volatility , which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was unchanged 0.00% to 21.09.
Crude oil for July delivery was down 0.61% or 0.38 to $61.65 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 0.60% or 0.39 to hit $64.99 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.92% or 30.24 to trade at $3,314.84 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.58% to 1.14, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.07% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.68% at 99.30.
