Investing.com – Taiwan stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Auto , Rubber and Electronic Parts/Components sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Taiwan, the Taiwan Weighted added 1.29%.

The best performers of the session on the Taiwan Weighted were Avision Inc (TW: 2380 ), which rose 10.00% or 0.36 points to trade at 3.96 at the close. Meanwhile, Danen Technology Corp (TW: 3686 ) added 10.00% or 1.75 points to end at 19.25 and Falcon Power Co Ltd (TW: 1516 ) was up 10.00% or 1.85 points to 20.35 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Nanya Technology Corp (TW: 2408 ), which fell 3.54% or 1.60 points to trade at 43.65 at the close. Formosa Oilseed Processing Co Ltd (TW: 1225 ) declined 3.42% or 1.05 points to end at 29.65 and Rechi Precision Co Ltd (TW: 4532 ) was down 3.17% or 1.00 points to 30.50.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Taiwan Stock Exchange by 0 to 0.

Shares in Formosa Oilseed Processing Co Ltd (TW: 1225 ) fell to 5-year lows; falling 3.42% or 1.05 to 29.65.

Crude oil for July delivery was down 0.54% or 0.33 to $60.87 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 0.51% or 0.33 to hit $64.11 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 1.04% or 34.31 to trade at $3,329.31 a troy ounce.

USD/TWD was down 0.30% to 29.97, while TWD/CNY unchanged 0.38% to 0.24.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.38% at 99.47.
