Turkey stocks lower at close of trade; BIST 100 down 1.26%

Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Sports , Banking and Metal Products & Machinery sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 fell 1.26%.

The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Can2 Termik AS (IS: CANTE ), which rose 5.56% or 0.09 points to trade at 1.71 at the close. Meanwhile, Pasifik Eurasia Lojistik Dis Ticaret AS (IS: PASEU ) added 3.95% or 2.85 points to end at 74.95 and Baticim Bati Anadolu Cimento Sanayi AS (IS: BTCIM ) was up 3.79% or 0.18 points to 4.93 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Oba Makarnacilik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS: OBAMS ), which fell 10.00% or 6.85 points to trade at 61.65 at the close. Enerya Enerji AS (IS: ENERY ) declined 8.47% or 0.48 points to end at 5.19 and Ard Grup Bilisim Teknolojileri AS (IS: ARDYZ ) was down 4.93% or 1.44 points to 27.76.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 403 to 166 and 20 ended unchanged.

Shares in Pasifik Eurasia Lojistik Dis Ticaret AS (IS: PASEU ) rose to all time highs; gaining 3.95% or 2.85 to 74.95.

Gold Futures for June delivery was up 1.94% or 64.06 to $3,359.06 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July rose 0.85% or 0.52 to hit $61.72 a barrel, while the July Brent oil contract rose 0.68% or 0.44 to trade at $64.88 a barrel.

USD/TRY was up 0.31% to 39.03, while EUR/TRY rose 0.48% to 44.26.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.65% at 99.20.
