Investing.com – Taiwan stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the , Information Services and Computers & Peripherals sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Taiwan, the Taiwan Weighted declined 0.09%.

The best performers of the session on the Taiwan Weighted were Shihlin Paper Corp (TW: 1903 ), which rose 10.00% or 6.60 points to trade at 72.60 at the close. Meanwhile, Cheer Time Enterprise Co Ltd (TW: 3229 ) added 10.00% or 1.40 points to end at 15.40 and AP Memory Technology Corp (TW: 6531 ) was up 9.96% or 25.50 points to 281.50 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Shin Tai Industry Co Ltd (TW: 1235 ), which fell 10.00% or 10.60 points to trade at 95.40 at the close. Chung Fu Tex-International Corp (TW: 1435 ) declined 6.94% or 2.50 points to end at 33.50 and Lung Hwa Electronics Co Ltd (TW: 2424 ) was down 5.94% or 6.30 points to 99.70.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Taiwan Stock Exchange by 0 to 0.

Shares in Shihlin Paper Corp (TW: 1903 ) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 10.00% or 6.60 to 72.60.

Crude oil for July delivery was up 0.28% or 0.17 to $61.70 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August rose 0.23% or 0.15 to hit $64.36 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.60% or 20.29 to trade at $3,374.21 a troy ounce.

USD/TWD was down 0.16% to 29.94, while TWD/CNY unchanged 0.29% to 0.24.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.32% at 98.69.
