Investing.com – Germany stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Industrials , Technology and Chemicals sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Frankfurt, the DAX added 1.56%, while the MDAX index added 1.64%, and the TecDAX index gained 1.40%.

The best performers of the session on the DAX were Rheinmetall AG (ETR: RHMG ), which rose 3.28% or 58.50 points to trade at 1,842.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Siemens AG Class N (ETR: SIEGn ) added 2.99% or 6.35 points to end at 218.65 and Heidelberg Materials AG (ETR: HEIG ) was up 2.79% or 5.00 points to 184.00 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Porsche Automobil Holding SE (ETR: PSHG_p ), which fell 3.26% or 1.19 points to trade at 35.29 at the close. Fresenius SE & Co KGAA O.N. (ETR: FREG ) declined 0.07% or 0.03 points to end at 43.12 and Beiersdorf AG O.N. (ETR: BEIG ) was up 0.29% or 0.35 points to 120.80.

The top performers on the MDAX were Thyssenkrupp AG O.N. (ETR: TKAG ) which rose 8.76% to 9.39, RENK Group AG (ETR: R3NK ) which was up 3.92% to settle at 71.81 and Bechtle AG (ETR: BC8G ) which gained 3.68% to close at 39.98.

The worst performers were K+S AG (ETR: SDFGn ) which was down 0.75% to 15.89 in late trade, CTS Eventim AG (ETR: EVDG ) which lost 0.66% to settle at 105.90 and Freenet AG NA (ETR: FNTGn ) which was down 0.20% to 29.30 at the close.

The top performers on the TecDAX were SUSS MicroTec SE (ETR: SMHNn ) which rose 5.20% to 38.00, Bechtle AG (ETR: BC8G ) which was up 3.68% to settle at 39.98 and Formycon AG (ETR: FYB ) which gained 3.60% to close at 23.05.

The worst performers were Freenet AG NA (ETR: FNTGn ) which was down 0.20% to 29.30 in late trade, CompuGroup Medical AG O.N. (ETR: COP1n ) which lost 0.18% to settle at 22.04 and United Internet AG NA (ETR: UTDI ) which was up 0.18% to 22.86 at the close.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 468 to 141 and 23 ended unchanged.

Shares in Rheinmetall AG (ETR: RHMG ) rose to all time highs; rising 3.28% or 58.50 to 1,842.00. Shares in RENK Group AG (ETR: R3NK ) rose to all time highs; gaining 3.92% or 2.71 to 71.81.

The DAX volatility index , which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was up 22.07% to 23.37.

Gold Futures for August delivery was down 0.79% or 26.89 to $3,367.61 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July rose 0.16% or 0.10 to hit $61.63 a barrel, while the August Brent oil contract rose 0.09% or 0.06 to trade at $64.27 a barrel.

EUR/USD was unchanged 0.13% to 1.14, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.06% to 0.84.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.09% at 98.92.
