Belgium stocks higher at close of trade; BEL 20 up 1.20%
Investing.com – Belgium stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Industrials , Basic Materials and Consumer Goods sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Brussels, the BEL 20 added 1.20%.
The best performers of the session on the BEL 20 were Umicore SA (EBR: UMI ), which rose 4.88% or 0.44 points to trade at 9.46 at the close. Meanwhile, Syensqo SA (EBR: SYENS ) added 2.91% or 1.88 points to end at 66.38 and Lotus Bakeries (EBR: LOTB ) was up 2.75% or 240.00 points to 8,970.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were KBC Groep NV (EBR: KBC ), which rose 0.35% or 0.30 points to trade at 86.56 at the close. Cofinimmo SA (EBR: COFB ) added 0.53% or 0.40 points to end at 75.20 and Sofina (EBR: SOF ) was up 0.56% or 1.40 points to 250.60.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Brussels Stock Exchange by 77 to 19 and 11 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for August delivery was down 0.79% or 26.76 to $3,367.74 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July rose 0.13% or 0.08 to hit $61.61 a barrel, while the August Brent oil contract rose 0.06% or 0.04 to trade at $64.25 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.14% to 1.14, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.06% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.10% at 98.91.
