Turkey stocks lower at close of trade; BIST 100 down 0.12%

Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Sports , Insurance and Textile & Leather sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 fell 0.12%.

The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Batisoke Soke Cimento Sanayi TAS (IS: BSOKE ), which rose 4.66% or 0.89 points to trade at 19.99 at the close. Meanwhile, Katilimevim Tasarruf Finansman AS (IS: KTLEV ) added 4.02% or 3.80 points to end at 98.25 and Tekfen Holding AS (IS: TKFEN ) was up 3.47% or 4.10 points to 122.40 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Oba Makarnacilik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS: OBAMS ), which fell 9.98% or 6.15 points to trade at 55.50 at the close. Grainturk Holding AS (IS: GRTHO ) declined 8.10% or 23.00 points to end at 261.00 and Ral Yatirim Holding AS (IS: RALYH ) was down 6.26% or 8.90 points to 133.20.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 335 to 239 and 16 ended unchanged.

Shares in Katilimevim Tasarruf Finansman AS (IS: KTLEV ) rose to 52-week highs; up 4.02% or 3.80 to 98.25.

Gold Futures for August delivery was down 0.80% or 27.04 to $3,367.46 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July rose 0.07% or 0.04 to hit $61.57 a barrel, while the August Brent oil contract rose 0.02% or 0.01 to trade at $64.22 a barrel.

USD/TRY was up 0.15% to 38.96, while EUR/TRY rose 0.39% to 44.39.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.11% at 98.90.
