Brazil stocks higher at close of trade; Bovespa up 1.02%

Investing.com – Brazil stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Real Estate , Electric Power and Consumption sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Sao Paulo, the Bovespa gained 1.02%.

The best performers of the session on the Bovespa were Grupo Vamos SA (BVMF: VAMO3 ), which rose 9.69% or 0.40 points to trade at 4.53 at the close. Meanwhile, Sendas Distribuidora SA (BVMF: ASAI3 ) added 7.61% or 0.81 points to end at 11.46 and Cvc Brasil ON (BVMF: CVCB3 ) was up 6.67% or 0.15 points to 2.40 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were CSN Mineracao SA (BVMF: CMIN3 ), which fell 5.80% or 0.32 points to trade at 5.20 at the close. Pet Center Comercio e Partcipacoes (BVMF: PETZ3 ) declined 4.15% or 0.18 points to end at 4.16 and BRF SA (BVMF: BRFS3 ) was down 3.52% or 0.75 points to 20.56.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the B3 Stock Exchange by 612 to 321 and 66 ended unchanged.

The CBOE Brazil Etf Volatility , which measures the implied volatility of Bovespa options, was up 5.69% to 31.21.

Gold Futures for August delivery was down 1.89% or 64.19 to $3,330.31 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July fell 0.72% or 0.44 to hit $61.09 a barrel, while the July US coffee C contract fell 0.19% or 0.70 to trade at $360.30 .

USD/BRL was down 0.50% to 5.64, while EUR/BRL fell 1.02% to 6.39.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.64% at 99.50.
